University of Illinois aerospace engineering department chair Dr. Philippe Guebelle, left, is seen here with GT-AE professors Dr. Julian Rimoli and Dr. Marcus Holzinger prior to Guebelle's 2015 lecture, "Computational Analysis and Design of Microvascular Composites for High Temperature Applications."
Sponsored entirely by the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering, this distinguished lecture series gives us the freedom to invite experts from a variety of aerospace-related fields to explore technical issues, research, career advice, industry trends, and the political and economic impact of our work. Previous speakers have included NASA administrators, researchers from peer institutions, astronauts, military leaders, and industry executives. The subjects vary, but the discussions are always lively. Expect to see at least one or two of these lectures each month during the academic year.
