The proceedings explore three key topics that are critical to growing Georgia's space economy.

The Georgia Space Leadership Summit brought together aerospace leaders from across the state to develop a plan to facilitate growth in the space industry within Georgia. The summit was held on July 29, 2014 at the Georgia Tech Research Institute and included representatives from academia, industry, the state government and the investor community.

The Georgia Space Leadership Summit addressed the following key questions:

  • Where can Georgia provide a meaningful impact in the development and operations of space systems, payload services, and space operations?
  • How can Georgia be developed as a significant provider of vertical and horizontal launch services?
  • What is a successful communication strategy for Georgia's space activities, both internal and external to the state?

The Proceedings of the Georgia Space Leadership Summit are intended to serve as a roadmap for the Georgia space community as all stakeholders work together to grow Georgia's space industry. The proceedings were prepared by the Georgia Center of Innovation for Aerospace and Georgia Tech's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and the Center for Space Technology and Research.
