The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering (AE) at Georgia Tech and the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India have joined together to offer a summer study-abroad program for second- and third-year AE students. The classes will be taught by Georgia Tech faculty. All Georgia Tech students enrolled in this program will pay the in-state tuition rate, regardless of their actual residency.

More Than an Adventure

This summer study program is perfect for students who want to make up credits after taking time for an internship or co-op. The 10-week summer program allows students to earn 12-14 credits that apply directly to their engineering major. And, when the four-day school week is over, students enrolled in this program can use their three-day weekends to explore India -- a continent of unparalleled beauty and history.

About Classes

Students select 12 -13 credit-hours from the following list:

  • AE2220 Dynamics (3-0-3)

  • COE 3001 Deformable Bodies (3-0-3)

  • AE3530 System Dynamics and Vibration (3-0-3)

  • AE3140 Structural Analysis (3-0-3)

  • AE4701 Rotorcraft Aeromechanics (3-0-3) (AE options elective)

  • AE4699: Undergraduate Research (variable credit hours)
