About the Speaker:
Ricardo Saborio is a Flight Test Engineer at Pyka, a Bay Area startup focusing on developing autonomous electric crop dusting aircraft. Mr. Saborio obtained his bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota and his master's degree at Georgia Tech. During his undergraduate studies, his work focused on developing flight software for two small satellite missions; one of which was deployed from the ISS in February 2020. At Georgia Tech, Mr. Saborio worked under Dr. Glenn Lightsey developing firmware for an open-source UHF radio to be used by Georgia Tech small satellite missions. In his current position at Pyka, Mr. Saborio is responsible for bringing-up software and hardware on newly manufactured aircraft, flight testing software changes on a weekly basis, preparing airfields for newly deployed aircraft, and training customers on how to operate the system.
About the Series:
Once a month international students and professionals from all over the world will share their journey and advice with current international students. This is your chance to gain support and insight in your journey at Georgia Tech.
