About the Speaker
Maureen Haverty is COO of Apollo Fusion, a Silicon Valley space propulsion startup. Ms. Maureen received her Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering at The University of Manchester. She worked in nuclear fuel performance and spent fuel management at the UK’s National Nuclear Lab, prior to joining Apollo Fusion. She established Apollo Fusion’s manufacturing systems, pioneering the use of contract manufacturing for satellite propulsion. Apollo Fusion’s manufacturing approach allows us to deliver faster and in higher volumes than our competitors across a range of diverse missions from commercial constellations to defense missions. Dr. Maureen has a particular interest in how small, R&D focused startups can maintain their speed and nimbleness while delivering on large, technically rigorous programs. Ms. Haverty manages a number of programs, including commercial constellations and government programs. She also leads our interactions with ranges, launch providers, and regulatory agencies.

About the Series
Once a month international students and professionals from all over the world will share their journey and advice with current international students. This is your chance to gain support and insight in your journey at Georgia Tech.
