The AE School and Georgia Tech Athletics Association are joining forces to host the first space game at Bobby Dodd Stadium. 

Before the game:

12:30 p.m. - Stop by WreckFest (Brittain Drive) to play interactive space themed tailgate games and activities hosted by the Georgia Space Grant Consortium. Fans will also get to meet AE School organizations, the Ramblin' Rocket Club, Sigma Gamma Tau, the Space Systems Design Lab, and more. 

1:30 - 2:30 p.m. - The AE School will be hosting a space panel before the game, The Next Decade in Space - Discovery and Wonder, moderated by Professor Glenn Lightsey. Panelists include, Prof. Mariel Borowitz (Georgia Tech), Laura Forczyk (Astralytical), Prof. Gabriela González (Louisiana St. University), Prof. Craig Hardgrove (Arizona St. University). Virtual option available

During the game: 

Before kickoff: Georgia Tech’s Sport Skydiving Club will fly into the stadium with the official game ball. The skydivers will pass the ball to Regents’ Professor Dimitri Mavris, who will be recognized as the Georgia Power Professor of Excellence.

Throughout the game:

  • Yellow Jacket fans can expect interactive space trivia
  • Drone demonstration during halftime
  • Free long sleeve t-shirt featuring a special game day patch (while supplies last)
  • Other surprises.
