Cynthia Kirby
Cynthia Kirby is currently serving as the B717 Fleet Projects Manager at Delta Air Lines TechOps in Atlanta Georgia. In this role, she is responsible for the operational efficiency of seventy aircraft by continually evaluating and improving the comprehensive maintenance program.
Cynthia’s career experience ranges from military service to commercial aviation, as well as aircraft manufacturing and integration. Her background includes extensive airline technical operations disciplines (aircraft maintenance, engineering, instruction, reliability, certification, and supplier management) at Delta Air Lines. As a Flightline Operations Manager, she worked to develop, establish, and staff the B787 flightline manufacturing operations at Boeing South Carolina. Cynthia began her career in the U.S. Air Force, where she served as an Integrated Avionics Supervisor on F-15 aircraft
Cynthia holds FAA licenses in Airframe and Powerplant maintenance. She earned a BS in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
Cynthia is heavily involved in the mentoring and development of future aviation professionals, working as a Mentor/Leader for high school students and the Delta Career Academy and as a member of the Atlanta Technical College Advisory Board.
