Dr. Acharya is an Associate Fellow of the AIAA and is the associate director for combustion modeling research operations in the Aerospace Combustion Lab. At the Lab, he directs modeling and simulations-based research operations on a wide range of unsteady combustion problems in power generation, propulsion, advanced/future tech. His activities focus on both R&D that transitions academic research to industry as well as fundamental research using theoretical, numerical, statistical, and computational tools.
