Military Ops Analysis as a Career
Tuesday, November 10
Designing aircraft is only one of many possible career paths open to engineering graduates. One less well-known area is Military Operations Analysis, which uses mathematical, analytical, and coding skillsets to help make better decisions within a military domain. It's an exciting field that can allow its practitioners to study how a variety of complex systems interact with one another in a real-world context. This discipline is carried out across the military, industry, and academia, with each group bringing a different perspective and goals to the table. Three operations analysis professionals from Northrop Grumman's Aeronautical Systems Sector, specifically the Systems Analysis and Simulation organization (including two Georgia Tech AE Alumni) will speak to students about their career experience. They will describe skills and attitudes that make for valuable and successful operations analysts, as well as answering questions about the day-to-day experience.
If Military Operations Analysis as a career sounds interesting to you, we encourage you to bring a copy of your resume to the event. This will provide an opportunity to discuss how your skills and interests align with the work we do and to explore potential internship and/or full-time roles within our organization.
