What is the Women of Aeronautics & Astronautics (WoAA)?

  • Established during the 2018-19 academic year, the Women of Aeronautics and Astronautics (WoAA) chapter at Georgia Tech is a newly formed committee under the Outreach Division of Georgia Tech's AIAA Chapter
  • Georgia Tech's WoAA Chapter  is part of a national coalition of female-led student groups from aerospace engineering degree programs at several universities and colleges
  • There are 13 WoAA Chapters across the United States,
  • Seven of the top 12 ranked aerospace engineering programs in the United States have WoAA Chapters
  • There are more than 500 members nationwide,
  • Members come from a variety of backgrounds, including young professionals, alumni, and faculty
