Concerns about unsafe travel conditions in the wake of Hurricane Irma have prompted the Institute to close campus for Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 11 and 12.
As a result, many if not all of the Career Week events originally scheduled to run from Sept. 10 to Sept. 15 have been rescheduled or canceled. The Georgia Tech Career Fair and the Aerospace Engineering Career Fair have already been rescheduled for Sept. 18 & 19 and Sept. 20, respectively.
Many, but not all, of the Career Week events have also been rescheduled for the week of Sept. 17-21. To confirm rescheduled events, check the AE Calendar this week.
The Georgia Tech Career Fair will be heldSept. 18 and 19, 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Campus Rec Center. The AE Career Fair will take place Sept. 20, 8 a.m. - noon in the Weber Building CoVE and CoDE auditoriums.
Students who have scheduled private interviews with potential employers Sept. 11-15 should contact the recruiters directly to confirm or reschedule their appointments.
"It is of utmost importance that safety be our chief concern during this horrific weather event," said AE Chair Dr. Vigor Yang. "Our thoughts are with friends, families, colleagues and others who will bear the brunt of the storm."
