U.S. News & World Report rankings remain a steady indicator of the AE School's strong reputation

For the eighth consecutive year, all 11 of Georgia Tech’s graduate engineering programs are ranked in the top 10 in their fields in the 2020 U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings.

The graduate rankings, released March 12, place the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering's graduate program at #4, overall -  #1 among publicly funded aerospace engineering grad programs. Topping off the 2020 USN&WR grad rankings for aerospace engineering were MIT and Stanford (tied for #1) and CalTech (#3). The Georgia Tech Aerospace Engineering grad program has placed in the top five graduate programs for more than a decade. The undergraduate program rankings, released last fall, put the Daniel Guggenheim School at #2 in the nation.

"We already know - from the quality of students applying to our program and the excellence of our growing faculty - that the Daniel Guggenheim School is on an exciting trajectory," said William R. T. Oakes School Chair Mark F. Costello.

"We are proud to be among such distinguished schools this year, and look forward to continuing collaborating with some of the brightest minds in aerospace engineering."

Overall the Georgia Tech College of Engineering’s graduate programs are ranked seventh in the country and third among public colleges.

"The faculty, staff and graduate students should be proud of the reputation and accomplishments of our eight engineering schools and the College as a whole," said Steve McLaughlin, dean of the College of Engineering.

"With all Georgia Tech graduate engineering programs placed in the top ten nationally, it is through their hard work that we continue to be recognized as one of the premier engineering colleges in the Nation. We are gratified that our peers recognize the efforts we make toward providing an exemplary graduate school environment and exceptional levels of research productivity.”
