What led you to meet with a mentor in the MIR program?

I wanted to know how to go from college to a career.  I’d also been struggling academically, had failed 2 semesters, and wanted to get some perspective on the next steps.  

What were some of your key takeaways from the mentoring meeting?

Companies care more about the experience than GPA  

Go to career fairs and talk to people 

Would you recommend other students meet with a mentor? Why?

Yes, particularly if you have a career-related question or a business idea. Many of the mentors are Vice Presidents in their organizations.
